European ICT Professional Role Profiles

When I coordinated the reformulation of the Integrated Master’s Program in Engineering and Management of Information Systems (a process that began in 2018), I compiled and produced a substantial collection of documents to support the effort.
Among these documents were several Computing competency frameworks, including the i Competency Dictionary (iCD), Skills Framework for the Information Age (SFIA), and European e-Competence Framework (e-CF).
As a European Norm (EN 16234-1), the e-CF defines 41 competencies relevant to the Information and Communication Technology (ICT) workplace. It offers a common language for describing competencies—knowledge, skills, and proficiency levels—that is widely understood across Europe.
A valuable companion to the e-CF is the publication
Each Profile is described in terms of a summary statement, mission, deliverables, main tasks, e-Competencies, and relevant KPI areas. I thought it would be useful to provide a global overview of these 30 e-CF-based ICT Professional Role Profiles.
To that end, I created a poster that offers an integrated view of the proficiency levels, process involvement, and competency affinities associated with each role. The results are, in some cases, thought-provoking...
